Betty Jane Porterfield, 95, passed away April 2, 2015 in Tulsa with family by her side. She was born October 1, 1919 in Pawnee, Ok. and was the daughter of Proctor Knott McKenzie and Mary Irene Gambill.
She married Bert Porterfield in 1950. They lived in Pawnee until 1958, Bixby until 1965 and then Tulsa. She was a beautician in Pawnee and Bixby and retired from Hathaway Industries in Tulsa.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren: two siblings, brother and wife and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert Porterfield; daughter, Mary Jane Durling and five siblings.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and the children were her pride and joy. She loved being with her family and watching her sons and grandchildren play sports
Her Viewing and Service is at the Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee, Ok on Monday, April 6, 2015. The Graveside Service was the same day at the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee.
