Troy J. Porter, 83, of Modesto died on December 8, 1989 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1906 in Grandview, Arkansas to Ira Jackson and Rosa Ann (Russell) Porter. He had been a resident of the Modesto area since 1936. He was a retired building custodian and security worker. He is survived by his wife, Blanche; his children, Joyce Loree Vigus and Jerry Porter, both of Hilmar; his brother, Louis Jackson Porter of Modesto; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs followed by burial in Acacia Memorial Park.
