Hannah Porter married John Coleman on 5/29/1663 in Windsor, Connecticut she was married when she was 20 years old and joined her husband in Hadley,Massachusetts. She had her first child a little over nine months later.

She was 35 years old in the fall of 1677 when, in the late morning hours on September, 19th, Indians attacked her home while her husband was working in the fields. Both she and her eleven month old baby, Bethia, were killed, one of her children was wounded, and two of her children were taken captive. The captives were rescued eight months later in Canada.

He married Mehitable Johnson, daughter of Humphrey Johnson and Ellen Cheney, on 3/11/1679 in Hadley,, Massachusetts; Mehitable was a widow who had been married previously to John Root. He married Mary Day on 12/11/1696 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts; According to some researchers, Mary had previously married Samuel Ely, with whom she had 16 children.

Also she is shown by some to have married Thomas Stebbins. He died on 1/2/1711 in Hatfield,, Massachusetts.
