She was the daughter of John Marlin and Gayle Carriger and married Michael Bunn. Her obituary follows:

Laura D. Carriger Bunn, 40, of New Market, passed away on Sunday surrounded by her family.

She was a 1991 graduate of Hazel Green High School, a member of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and had obtained her commercial trucking license.

She was preceded in death by her father, John M. Carriger, and by her grandparents, John and Laura Carriger, and her aunt and uncle, Johnny and Cheryl Brooks.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Bunn; Her daughters, Taylor Carriger and Rylee Bunn; Her step-son, Damien Bunn; Her grandparents, Johnny and Frances Underwood; Her parents, Arnold and Gayle Poole; Her sister and brother-in-law, Dana and Robby Shields; Her three nephews, Jordan Shields, Ryan Shields, and Jon Shields.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2pm at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Elmer "Buddy" Alverson officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at the church at Noon. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
