WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Dettie Pool Bailey, 101, of Wedowee will be Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with Barrett Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Mrs. Bailey died Saturday, Jan. 19, at Lineville Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by two daughters, Clara Yates of Auburn and Wildred Owen of Montgomery; two sons, Calvin Bailey of Wedowee and Clarence Bailey of Lineville; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Bailey was born Dec. 9, 1906, daughter of John Harm and Letha Marenda Overton Pool. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Bailey; her parents; and two sons, C.B. and Herbert Bailey.
