She was born in Marks, Miss., and was a 1945 graduate of Lubbock High School where she was a member of Sub-Debs, and a 1949 graduate of Texas Tech where she was a member of D.F.D. social club.
She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of the Episcopal Church Of The Ascension in Seneca, S.C., and a member of the Episcopal Women's Club. While living in Woodbury, Conn., she was the president of the local chapter of the League of Women Voters.
A daughter, Mary Elizabeth Bogel, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Graham of Westminster; a son, Russell of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Suzanne Archer of Launceston, Australia; a sister, Francis Ponce of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.
