A very successful bandleader in the 1920s, his orchestra featured future stars Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman among others. He also owned restaurants in Palm Springs and Hollywood and formed his own record company, ‘Jewel.’ Pollack hanged himself in his Palm Springs home. Pollack appeared in 4 films. (bio by: TLS)
