Leola Francis (Lewis) Platt, was born April 13, 1920 in Wahkonsa Township near Fort Dodge, Iowa. She moved to Arizona with her husband and children in about 1955, residing in Chino Valley for 21 years.
Leola married John I Platt in 1936 and together they had 10 children. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, in Chino Valley, The Over the Hill Bunch, Take Off Pounds Safely and the American Legion Auxiliary, of Chino Valley.
Leola was preceded in death by her husband John I Platt in 1960, and three children Vernon Neil Platt in 1952, Brenda Dee Platt in 1956 and Frederick F Platt in 1963. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Worth Allen Lewis in 1954 and May (Marion) Lewis in 1969 as well as four of her siblings, Wanda May Lewis in 1936, Bernadine Fay Lewis in 1938, Levi Eugene Lewis in 1952 and Cora Belle Lewis in 1976.
