Rosemary A. Brockman, age 80, of Richmond, died Monday, December 7, 2009, at Reid Hospital. Born December 8, 1928, in Richmond to Guy and Hildegard Bussen Platt and was a lifelong resident of this community. Rosemary was owner of Rosemary Brockman Beauty Salon for over 60 years. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and trips to Mississippi.

Survivors include her sons, John Brockman of Texas, Ed Brockman (Lois) and Bruce Brockman, both of Richmond; daughters, Nancy Renfro (John), Jenny Willman (Jim) and Joanita Wesler (Robert), all of Richmond, and Yvonne Lucas (John) of Economy; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Guy Platt of Lynn, Ind., and Ralph Platt (Gloria) of Arizona; sister, Joanita Mackey of Richmond; several nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends including her Girl's Card Club and her clients.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brockman who died in 2001; her parents; and three great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Mackey Sr.

Visitation for Rosemary A. Brockman will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Father Gerald Okeke officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
