Doris was a native of Bangor, Maine. She was a member of the Faculty Wives of United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, the Yalesville Community Club, and was a charter member of the Faualty Wives of Wallingford.
Besides her husband, Edward, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Orlando W. Foss Jr. of Waycross, Ga., a son, Edward P. Bridghamn of Yalesville, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services took place on Monday at the Yalesville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Simmons officiating. Committal services were held on Tuesday, April 7, in Pine Grove Cemetery. Bearers were Chester Burghoff, Howard Fistere, Walter Burcke and George Hyde.
Arrangements were under the B.C.Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm Street, Wallingford, Connecticut
