Mable Pitre Galjour, 77, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carol P. Galjour; one son, James Peter Galjour; one daughter, Anne Galjour; two sisters, Virline Gisclair and Jeanette Lafont; and two grandchildren, Ian Mayne and Caitlyn Galjour.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Alzina Danos Pitre; and three brothers, Harold "T-Brown" Plaisance, Bertman Pitre and Hayman Pitre.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a wonderful blackjack player.
