Bowlegs resident John Henry "Buddy" Pierce, age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 in a Tulsa Hospital.

Born September 9, 1938 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Dimpsy Burl and Irene Lillie (Gayler) Pierce.
He graduated from New Lima School and worked from Southard Electric as a Phone Cable Layer. .
John loved to fish and go camping . He served in the US Army

Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. with Military Honors.

John is preceded in death by his parents and brother Glen Pierce.

Survivors include: his children: Angelia and husband Kenny Kinnison, of Amarillo, TX., Pamelia and Bruce Fox of Flower Mound, TX., John H.
Pierce II and wife Shelly, of Amarillo, TX, his former wife and mother of his children Pat Pierce, Amarillo, Texas., seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren, , brothers and sisters, Betty and husband Richard Estep of Bowlegs, OK., Helen Jones of Wewoka, OK., David Pierce and wife Frances of Seminole,OK., Ronnie Pierce and wife Linda of Guthrie, OK., Patsy and husband Jeff Davis of Wewoka, OK., numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Keith Estep, Kevin Jones, Scott Pierce, Stuart Pierce, Wade Pierce, and Thomas Davis.
