FITCHBURG-- Marion June (Pierce) Bergevin, 72, of 44 Valdalia St., co-owner of a pizza restaurant since 1985, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a short illness. She leaves her husband of 47 years, Paul H. Bergevin; a son, John Paul Bergevin of East Haven, Conn.; three daughters, Paula M. Valente, Pauline J. Stockwell and Paulette R. Cormier, all of Fitchburg; a brother, Roger Pierce of Leominster and Florida; two sisters, Arlene Stebbins in Florida and Beverly Camire of Leominster; and seven grandchildren. She was born in Leominster, daughter of George E. Pierce Sr. and Florence M. (Ingraham) Pierce, and lived here almost 50 years. She and her husband owned and operated the Chateau Pizza in Cleghorn since 1985. Mrs. Bergevin was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of its Ladies of St. Anne. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Amvets, in Leominster. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 89 Sheridan St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 19 Midstate Drive, Auburn 01501.
