William "Bill" Franklin Pickle age 81 of Lexington passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Good Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Bennett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.

Bill was born April 18, 1932 in Davidson County to Clyde Odell Pickle and Pauline Snider Pickle. He was owner/operator of Pickles Dairy and a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army. Bill was grateful of the last few years of his life at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living where he enjoyed his friends and caretakers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma Walser Pickle and brother in-law, Billy Joe Leonard.

Surviving are his sons; William "Billy" Clyde Pickle and wife Angela of Lexington, Mary Dale Perrell and partner Joe Aiello of Los Angeles, California, his daughter; Amy Leigh Surratt and husband Eric of Advance, his grand children; Jacob Ryan Pickle, Ethan William Pickle, Maty Catherine Surratt, Ledger Aiello-Perrell and his sister; Peggy Sue Leonard of Lexington.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
