Cheryl Lou Carr Pickett, 53, of Liberty, Texas, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, march 1, 204 at the Allison Funeral Service chapel in Liberty with Reverend Jimmie Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, March 15, 2004 at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty, Texas. Mrs. Pickett was born September 30, 1950, in Liberty, Texas to parents, Leive LorenzoCarr and Bobbie Elizabeth Carroll Carr. She had been a lifelong resident of the Liberty County area. Cheryl graduated high school in Hull-Daisetta. On October 25, 1974, Cheryl married Earnest Pickett III. Mrs. Pickett was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, and Magnolia ridge country Club where she was active in many different fundraising efforts. Mrs. Pickett is preceded in death by her father, Levi Carr, and a friend Darrell R. Rollins. She is survived by her mother, Bobbie Elizabeth Car. Her husband, Ernest Pickett III, one son, Ernest Picket IV, and his wife Stacie, one granddaughter, Madalyn Nichole Pickett, one sister, Benita Poole, one brother, Levi Carr, and many other relatives and friends.
