Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Mae Barney, 61, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church. She died Saturday, September 11, 1965, in a car accident near Talahina.

Born, June 23, 1904 in Red Rock, Noble County, Oklahoma, she came to Wagoner in 1922 where she was a member of the Cloverleaf Rebekah Lodge No. 124 and of the First Baptist Church.

Glen Smith, pastor, will be assisted by Rev. M.E. Roberts, pastor of the Chouteau First Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Walter; two sons, Clyde Barney, Wagoner and Dale of Baker, California; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Moore, Wagoner and Mrs. Ella Sue Jeffries of Greenwood, South Carolina; two brothers, Morris Phillips, Wagoner and Claude of Chelsea, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Earl Wheeler, Forest Grove, Oregon, and 15 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman Funeral Home. Pallbearers are to be John Walsh, Claud Wheeler, R.D. and Euel Lancaster, John Broad and Bob Jeffrey.
