KOSCIUSKO — Doris Phillips Bell, 85, of Durant died June 11, 2012 at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held June 13 at 11 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant. Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery in Durant. Bro. Ed McDaniel will officiate.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Durant. She was the owner of Bell's Grocery.
Survivors include sons, Danny H. Bell (Pauline) of Pelahatchie, and Roy Bell (Gayle) of Durant; daughters, Kathy Bell Rowland (Ronny) of Byram and Joy Bell Ray of Winchester, TN; brother, J.D. Phillips of Kosciusko; sisters, Deaney Frazier of Kosciusko, and Leta Ray of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Keith Rowland Jr., Miranda J. Ray, Macy L. Ray, and Shelly Nicole Thornton; great-grandchildren, Rachel Ann Thornton, Zachary Scott Thornton; numerous step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Bell; brother, Dan Phillips, and parents, Roy and Emma Burkes Phillips.
