ADA, Dec. 27 - J. Elmer Phillips, 85, formerly of here, died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday in Oklahoma. Mr. Phillips celebrated his 85th birthday anniversary Friday.
Surviving are a son, Emmett, Oklahoma; and a daughter, Mrs. Leota Peterson, Cincinnati.
The body will arrive in Ada at 5 p.m. Tuesday and will be removed to the Lantz and Cretors funeral home to remain until 1 p.m. Wednesday. The body then will be removed to the Sugar Grove church for services at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. J. Paul Clark officiating. Burial will be in Ada Woodlawn cemetery.
