Mrs. Mildred Darlene Creech, age 88, of Troy,Mo. passed away on Fri, June 1,2007 at the Troy Manor, Troy, Mo.
She was born on Sept. 20,1918 in Troy,Mo., a daughter of Walter E. and Maude Dowell Phelps. Following her formal education, she was united in marriage with Kennard Creech on July 24,1937 in St.Louis,Mo. To this union were born 5 children: Glenda,Janet,Joyce, Donna, and Kenny. The Creech family lived in the Old Alexandria area for many years. Mildred was a homemaker and the Old Alexandria correspondent for the Troy Free Press for 31 years. She was a longtime active member of the Old Alexandria United Methodist Church serving as treasurer for 23 years. Mildred was a charter member of the Old Alexandria United Methodist Women's Group She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R) for many years.
Surviving are: 4 daughters: Glenda (Gene) Chapman of Foley,Mo., Janet (Paul) Niehoff of Troy, Joyce (John) Reller of Old Monroe, and Donna (Gary) Myers of Troy,Mo.; 1 son: Kennard "Kenny" Creech of Foley,Mo. 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 sister: Frances Boullear of Ottawa,KS.
