Clara Holman first married Troy Sherrill. Together they had a daughter, Marrianne. She would marry Norman Kinzie. Troy died as a result of an automobile accident in 1936. Later she would marry William Clarance Peurifoy. Together they made their home in Kannapolis where she worked in the office of Cannon Mills.
