Laurene L. Luckeroth, 76, Marysville, died Sunday, June 25, 2006, at Cambridge Place Nursing Home, Marysville.Visitation was to be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Kinsley Mortuary, Marysville.A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at the United Methodist Church, Marysville, with the Rev. Gerry Sharp and the Rev. Gary Pennings officiating.Deb Landoll will be organist and Ashley Maughlin will sing "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace."Pallbearers will be Rodney Swearingen, Ryan Swearingen, Charles Griswold, Randy Swearingen, Robby Swearingen and Bud Schuette. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Waterville.Laurene Luckeroth was born June 26, 1929, at Waterville, the daughter of William and Agnes Brychta Petr.She graduated from Marysville High School in 1946. She taught country school in Waterville rural schools. She received a master's degree in education from Kansas State University.She married Joe Luckeroth Nov. 2, 1982.She taught for three years at Waterville Junior High School, 25 years at Marysville Junior High School and was a substitute teacher for 12 years before retiring.She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Moose Club and KSU Alumni.Survivors include her husband, Joe of the home, and one sister, Dorothy Swearingen, Barnes.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Petr.
