OBITUARY: Age 68 of Lincoln, NE. Died Friday, June 3, 2005 in Lincoln. Born February 20, 1937 at Nebraska City, NE to parents Eldro G. and Caroline A. (Phillips) Petersen. Carol attended Rural School District #40 and later graduated from Syracuse High School in 1954. Carol was employed in Lincoln at Miller and Paine in the accounting department and later at Wheeler's Supply before retiring due to disability. In 2000, the Eli Lilly Company and the Diabetes Association recognized her as a diabetic living on insulin for 50 years. She served as treasurer of the American Lutheran Church council, and was a member of the Golden Age Group there.
VISITATION: Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 2 to 8 PM at the Wyuka Funeral Home in Lincoln, NE. Family will be present from 6 to 8 PM.
SERVICE: Services will 10:30 AM Monday, June 6, 2005 at the American Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Ne.
FAMILY: Carol is survived by her son Dennis of Lincoln, Ne.; Uncles & aunts: Clarence & Dorothy Petersen, Earl Phillips, Bertha Ruckman, Helen Wright, Arlene Forture; cousins, especially Lisa Petersen King; and longtime friend Carol Lutz, and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Caroline Elizabeth.
CEMETERY: Interment will be in Wyuka Cemetery & Park in Lincoln, NE.
