Funeral services for Christine P. Interpreter, 70, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Crownpoint. Burial will be on a family plot in Nahodishgish.

Interpreter died November 27, 2015, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born October 14, 1945, in Crownpoint, into the Salt People Clan born for the Two Who Came to Water People Clan.

Interpreter retired from the Navajo Nation. She enjoyed weaving, cooking, traveling and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son Patrick Interpreter, of Crownpoint; daughters Tina Meyers, of Crownpoint, and Andrea Interpreter, Connie Interpreter and Alishia Interpreter, all of Albuquerque; brothers Kenneth Peshlakai, of Shonto, Arizona, Benny Peshlakai Sr., of Standing Rock, Otis Peshlakai, of Dalton Pass, and Walter Peshlakai Jr., of Dalton Pass; sisters Elsie Peshlakai, of Albuquerque, and Edith D. Thompson, of Dalton Pass; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger L. Interpreter; daughter Valrie R. Interpreter; son Roger A. Interpreter; mother Edith W. Peshlakai and father Walter Peshlakai Sr.

Pallbearers will be Dave Arviso, Patrick Interpreter, Elwood Meyers, Vernon Brown, Larry Maes and Jose Rodriguez

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, NM is entrusted with arrangements.
