She was born March 27, 1916, in Coal Springs Township, Ill., to William Otis and Pearl Mae (Phillips) Perry. She married James Sherman Clark.
Surviving are her children, James E. (Lydia) Clark of Cocoa, Fla., Richard E. Clark of Morton, William Perry (Jacquelyn) Clark of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Kathryn Gerken of Iowa City, Iowa; former daughter-in-law, Sharon Clark of Washington; seven grandchildren, Angela, Mark, James B. and Scott Clark, Susan Falzon, Sheri Schafer and Christopher Gerken; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Dawn Brown; her parents; one brother; and three sisters.
Catherine was employed at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 33 years, retiring in 1978 as a tool clerk.
She was a member of the former Peoria Apostolic Tabernacle.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton, with the Rev. Randy Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Myers Cemetery in Herrick, Ill.
