Mr. Carl Thomas Pepper, 71, of Sikes, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, La. He was a member of Sikes Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Lawson C. Pepper and the late Essie Kay (Kelly) Pepper.
Mr. Pepper was also preceded in death by his sister, Lorene Greene; and his brothers, Leroy and Dale Roger Pepper.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Pepper of Sikes, Louisiana; one daughter, Karen Rowe of Monroe, Louisiana; one son, Carl B. Pepper and wife Laura of Sikes, Louisiana; one sister, Geraldine Compton of Denton, Texas; three brothers, Garland Pepper of Sikes, Louisiana, Howard Pepper of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Lewis Pepper of Gonzales, Louisiana; four grandchildren, including a special grandson, Tommy Pepper of West Monroe, Louisiana; and six great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, Louisiana, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006. Friends may call at the Sikes Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Funeral services will be held at Sikes Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, with the Rev. Kenneth Tarver and the Rev. Billy Verhoff officiating. Interment will be at the Wright Cemetery near Sikes, Louisiana.
