Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Pepper Ouzts, age 71 of Jonesboro were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 1985 in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Homes in Jonesboro, LA, Rev. Curtis Dickens conducted the services.

Burial was in the Transport Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Ouzts passed away Thursday, August 15, 1985 in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston after a long illness. She was a retiree from Continental Can as a bag catcher in Hodge, LA.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Moore Ouzts, two daughters; Mrs Sue Wells Smith (Arden) and Verble Grace Wells Walker (Mack); one son, David Mack Wells (Joy); eight grandchildren; Cathy Walker Tolar (Ronnie), Teresa Walker, Melanie Smith, Todd Smith, Brandon Wells, Jason Wells, Lacey Wells, and two great grandchildren; Melissa Tolar, Chad Tolar; three brothers; Charlie pepper (Elouise) and James (Bud) Pepper (Ruby) and John Pepper (Viola); two sisters, Olla Pepper Bond and Lula Pepper Taylor (Oscar).

Pallbearers were nephews: Edward Pepper, Bobby Pepper, Odell Thomas, Jimmy Pepper, Cully Bond and Ray Bond.
