Richard resided on Campus Avenue, passed away at d'Youville Pavilion, Lewiston, where he resided for the past couple of years.
He was born in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Gracien and Laurette (Turcotte) Pepin. He was educated in Lewiston schools.
He served in the Army National Guard for many years.
He was a discreet philanthropist to many charities and foundations, including wildlife, world hunger, adopt a child and many others.
He was formerly married on Aug. 19, 1961, to Rolande Frasier.
Dick worked at Sampson's, Food Town and Future Foods as a meat cutter for many years.
He enjoyed his sports, reading and music, and was blessed by his family.
He is survived by a son, Richard Pepin and wife, Mary of Poland; daughters, Linda Frasier of Falmouth and Cynthia Fisher and husband, Kenneth of Sabattus; three grandchildren, Kathleen Douglass of Lewiston, Brian Smith and wife, Nichole of Lewiston, and Allison Pepin of Lewiston; three great-grandchildren Kayla, Alexx and Elizabeth Douglass; sisters, Lorraine Pepin of Lewiston and Claire Turner of Randolph; many nieces, nephews and a great family friend, Claudette Gagne of Lewiston.
He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. at Funeral Alternatives. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives LLC, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
