Lynda E Bloom, 59, of RD2, Box 24, Rockton, PA, died Thursday at her residence following an extended illness.
Born September 4, 1941, in DuBois, she was a daughter of George L and Violet Schrecengost Pentz. She was married to Hylan W Bloom in November, 1963. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1999.
She was retired from Brockway Glass. She was a member of Rockton Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Hickory Grange No 1285, Amaranth No 42 DuBois Court and the Eastern Star, Order of White Shrine No 11.
She was a 1959 graduate of DuBois High School. She enjoyed crafts, painting and gardening.
She is survived by her mother; a sister, Judith Tollini of Rossiter; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her father.
Friends will be received from 1-4pm and 7-9pm Sunday and until the time of service Monday at the Mohney-Yarger Funeral Chapel Inc, DuBois. an Order of Amaranth service will be held at 7pm Sunday at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11am Monday at the funeral home with the Rev Brian Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
