Bio: On July 8, 1902, my sister Stella Ruth was born. She was a beautiful, healthy baby. Somehow, in the mysterious way that our kind Heavenly Father does things, little Stella was destined to live only five short months. A funeral service was held at the Flag Springs Church and a neighbor man, named John Dixon, gave a short talk. I remember only a few things about the service. I do remember that Mr. Dixon said something like this, "We do not know why God has taken this little babe from its mother's bosom, but we can be sure that God has a purpose." Source; her brother, Thomas Edward Pennington, Pennington Pedigrees 1990 Vol. 22 No. 1, pg. 46.
