Sarah Pennington, widow of Elisha Pennington, died at her home west of Pittsboro, Wednesday, April 7. She was born in Bath county, Kentucky, February 19, 1879, the daughter of Reuben and Eliza Goodwin. When she was fourteen years old, the family moved to Jamestown. August 18, 1897, she married Elisha Pennington and they had resided in the vicinity of Lizton until the death of her husband in May of last year. She was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are the aged mother, Mrs. Eliza Goodwin, who had spent the past nine years at the Pennington home; one sister, Mrs. Callie McCoun, of Indianapolis; three brothers, Leslie Goodwin, New Winchester; John Goodwin, Omaha, Neb., William Goodwin of Danville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Lizton Christian church Saturday morning in charge of the Rev. James Shockley of Bridgeport. Burial in the Lizton K. of P. cemetery.

Pennington - Sarah, age 58, daughter of Mrs. Eliza Goodwin of Pittsboro, and sister of Mrs. Carl McCoun of Indianapolis, Leslie Goodwin, New Winchester; John Goodwin of Omaha, Neb.; William Goodwin of Danville, passed away at the residence, two miles west of Pittsboro, Wednesday, April 7. Funeral Lizton Christian Church Saturday, 10 a.m. Burial at Lizton. McConnaha's Service.
