Louise Frances "Mamaw" Gower, 101, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born to Wiley and Lucy (Dale) Pennington in Castle, OK. Mamaw was a long time member of the church of Christ and was a commercial seamstress for Master Cleaners on N. Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City, which was a family owned business. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; son, Mel Gower; brother, Willie Pennington; granddaughter, April Gower and a great-grandson, Corbin Scherf. She was survived by daughters, Jimmie Scherf and Diane Corey; sons, Roger Gower and wife Phyllis, and David Schrock; daughter-in-law, Dee Gower; 2 half sisters, May and Retha; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate her life were held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9th at North MacArthur Church of Christ, under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Service, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers consisted of: Jim, Rags, Chief and Skip Gower and Doug and Tony Scherf.
