KING CITY - A graveside service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday at Olney Cemetery for Helen Adrienne Penland. Mrs. Penland died Sept. 26, 2006. She was 93.
Mrs. Penland was born Jan. 14, 1913, in Castle Rock, Wash. She lived in Portland and Pendleton before moving to King City in 1990. She was a homemaker.
In 1936, she married John Penland; he died in 1983.
She is survived by daughters Dinah J. Granning and Melinda P. Ash; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Umatilla County Historical Society Heritage Station in Pendleton. Pegg, Paxson and Springer of King City are in charge of arrangements.
