NORWOOD, Mass. - Earle "Nick" Cameron Pendleton, 54, passed away peacefully March 2, 2010. Nick was born April 25, 1955, in Belfast, the son of Elden and Ardern (Mace) Pendleton. Nick was educated in the Searsport district schools. He attended American University and Ricker College, and later enlisted in the Air Force, where he worked as a supply specialist at bases in California and Turkey. Nick took great pride in his job in the Air Force and was known to be a stickler for details and numbers. After his discharge from the Air Force, he continued his studies at Hunter College, New York City, and drove a taxi in Manhattan at night to support himself. He worked for years in the Boston area non-profit sector and was employed by the Red Cross of Boston as a blood drive coordinator.
Nick is survived by his mother, Ardern Pendleton; his brother, Don and sister-in-law, Anne; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Megan, Brett, Michael and Kristen.
He was predeceased by his father, Elden in 1992; and his younger brother, Michael in 2004.
His ashes will be spread on Penobscot Bay, off Searsport. (Bangor Daily News 3/8/2010)
