James Brooks Peden, age 95, of Hondo, formerly of Austin, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
He was born Mar. 12, 1916, in Henrietta, OK, the son of James P. and Jessie (McNeely) Peden.
He served in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a sergeant. An attorney in the oil and gas industry, he lived an adventure-filled life. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Hondo/D'Hanis.
Brooks is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Flossie Lee (Jackson) Peden; and three siblings.
He is survived by his son, Robert James 'Bob" Peden and wife Ann of Hondo; grandsons, Robert Scott Peden and wife Kari of Waco and James David Peden and wife Kim of San Antonio; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Brooks Peden, Robert Anderson Peden, David Whitley Peden and Ann Whitley Peden.
