(Colescott) Peck. On Sept. 24, 1942, Carolyn married Wilford W. Durr, who preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1981. On Nov. 6, 1983, she married Roy L.Crume, who preceded her in death, Aug. 13, 1995.
She was active member of Burlington Church of Christ, adult 4-H leader,member of O.E.S. 195, Greentown, Clay 49'rs Home Extension and First Advantage Travel Club. She was a 1941 graduate of Kokomo High School and attended Kokomo Business College. She was a retiree of Cabot Corp (Haynes International) and an avid gardener.
Surviving are son, Allen A. (Marsha J.) Durr, Auxvasse, Mo.; stepson, Thomas D. (Nancy) Crume, Kent, Washington; stepdaughter, Marta J. (Mark) Ward, Stone Mountain, Ga.; three grandchildren, Melanie (John) Brandenburg, Sheridan, Paul W. (Kalyn) Durr, Grinnell, Iowa and Ashley A. Durr, Auxvasse, Mo.; five stepgrandchildren, Jarod Crume, Dustin Crume, Brynn Ward, Crystal Atterberry, Richard Atterberry; five great-grandchildren, Melia Durr, Sienna Durr, Matayas Durr, Sarah Jensen, Pandora Walker; a sister, Julia E. Eaton, Lake Wales, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Norma Jean Spangler, Kokomo; seven nephews and two nieces;
several cousins and a close friend, Cartwright Ellis.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Thurston and Shirley; husbands, Wilford and Roy; and a son, Denis D. Durr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor David Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Zion Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Burlington Church of Christ.
