Mrs. Effie E. Bailey, 90, Berlin, formerly of Hooversville, died Dec. 6, 1977, in Somerset Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1887, in Paint Township, a daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Ann (Berkey) Pebley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew, son Clarence, and brother William. She is survived by a son, Earl of Portage RD 1; 14 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was a sister of Mrs. Helen Foreman of Johnstown. She was a member of the Mostoller United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. Interment, Hooversville Cemetery.
