Gladys Peale Easley

The funeral service for retired Holley carburetor plant worker Gladys Peale Easley of the Elkhorn community will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
James Smith of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery.
Chosen as pallbearers are Randy, Milton, Bryant, Jerry and Don Peale, Jeff Underwood and Larry and Glen Wimberley.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday.
Born Jan. 23, 1922, in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Bertha Lowe Peale.
She was married on Jan. 9, 1954, to Virgil Easley, who survives.
She leaves one daughter: Joy Rose (George) Drye of Elkhorn; one sister: Dorothy Olive Souther of Johnson City; a sister-in-law: Imadell Peale of Paris; two brothers: Lloyd M. (Lois) Peale and Joe Lowe, both of Paris; one brother-in-law: Bill Dunn of Paris; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Thera Kemp and Ruth Dunn; and a brother: Howard Peale.
