MIDLAND CITY. . .Willie W. Peach, a resident of J. B. Chapman Road, Midland City, died early Sunday morning, October 17, 2010, in the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident which occurred October 10, 2010 on U. S. Highway 231, South, near Alford, Florida. He was 67.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas Kirkland officiating and eulogies to be given by close friends and family members. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, Director of Animal Giving, 3175 College Street, Auburn University, AL. 36849.

Mr. Peach was born and reared in Camden, Tennessee and was a graduate of Camden High School. He moved to Dothan in 1974. Mr. Peach was the founder of Advanced Mechanix, Inc., a diesel and auto repair and parts business which he owned and operated until 2007. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and was involved in numerous charities in the Dothan area. Mr. Peach was preceded in death by his father, Woodie Peach, his step-father, Jessie Hamlin and his father-in-law, Ted Spann.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Brenda Spann Peach, Midland City; a special niece, Traci Whitehead Robinson and husband, Chris Robinson, Taylor, AL; a special sister-in-law whom he loved and adored, Mary Ann (Macy) Spann, Headland; his mother, Mae Douglas Hamlin, McKenzie, TN; three brothers, Cecil Peach and wife, Alice Peach, Henry, TN; Roy Peach and wife, Lillian Peach, Ashford, AL.; and Larry Peach, Bruceton, TN; other nieces and nephews, Nicholas Williams, Patrick Whitehead, Mike, Tim and Scott Peach, Brittany Peach, Melanie Ellison, Stephanie Eiland and Stacie Williams; several great-nieces and great-nephews; sisters-in-law from the Spann family, Sandra Whitehead, Midland City; Pam Williams and husband, Larry Williams, Dothan; mother-in-law, Carolyn Granberry Spann, Tumbleton Community.

Serving as active pallbearers will be John Perdue, Ronnie Webb, Mark Ward, Dutch Holland, Nick Williams and Trey Truitt. Serving as honorary pallbearers will his motorcycle family.
