Pastor LIZ BUDRY (nee: Payton), age 68, was Promoted to Glory peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Harold sharing over 44 years together. Liz was the devoted mother of John (Liz) Lum-Budry, Matt (Amanda) Budry, and Lizzy Budry, cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Anne, Aiden Michael and Grace May-Ping. She is also survived by her brothers, Orville, David and Eric as well as her sisters Buelah, Ruth, Muriel and Vangie, along with her best friend of 22 years Lauretta. She was preceded in death by her parents Brigadier and Mrs. Herbert Payton. The Lord blessed her with the gifts of generosity and love which led her to becoming a licensed minister. She was known for never meeting a stranger and her warm and inviting personality caused an immediate connection. Her outgoing and invigorating nature lit up a room the moment she entered. She had many talents. She was a songwriter, book writer and gifted musician. She credited everything that made up her life's work to her relationship with the Lord.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, October 17 at 12 noon at the Salvation Army, Royal Oak Citadel (3015 N. Main St.). Visitation Monday 10:00 a.m. until the time of her celebration.
