June 10, 1935 ~ June 24, 2017 (age 82)

On June 24, 2017, Lucy Paynter of Owings Mills died peacefully. She was the beloved wife of Thomas H. Paynter, devoted mother of Patricia Redding and husband David, Susan Paynter, the late Charles and Donald Paynter, sister of Karen Brown and Rebecca Hawkinson. Loving “Gram” to grandchildren: Jen, Josh& Kate, Joel& Victoria, Juli& Scott, Zach& Sarah, Joe, Jamie, Jake, and Grant, and great-grandchildren: Alex, Alanna, Ben, Tyler, Chris, Angela, Brady, Luke, Lily, Talia, Drew, and Gemma.

Lucy’s accomplishments include:

Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin (go Badgers!)

Working for BARC Garden Center which allowed her to combine her love for gardening and people.

Longtime member of Journey of Faith Church, former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, using her gifts as a Sunday-school teacher, Vacation Bible School director, and lately on the Finance Committee

Memorial services will be held on July 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Journey of Faith Church, 7902 Liberty Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244. A private interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.
