Ruby was the loving mother of Gwen, Eldon, Kenneth, Stanley, Gaylon, Donna, and Richard. Three of her children, Gwen, Eldon, and Kenneth died while she was still alive. She lived her last 2 years in OKC with Donna, and died at home with hospice caring for her, Donna & Rick and daughters-in-law Joyce & Ann at her side. She was the most caring, giving and unselfish person you would ever want to know. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her favorite hobbies were fishing, playing dominoes & 42 at Senior Citizens, going to church and being around her children and grandchildren. We, her children, feel a deep, deep loss with her passing. We will always love you Mom, and we will never forget you. She died of complications from coronary artery disease and diabetes which she had suffered since the early 1980's. She had retired from Quartz Mt. Lodge in 1978, so she didn't get to fish long before her health problems began.

Aunt Ruby,

What a touching tribute to you. I'm so glad I found this site.

I can vision you, Grandma Payne, my Dad, Clyde, Idell, Zelda, Gwen and all the others that have passed on sitting around telling old stories.

I miss you all,(Read more)
