Survived by his loving wife Barbara; three sons, Patrick, Michael (Debbie) Paul and Edward (Susan) Paul Jr. One daughter, Barbara (David) Hughes; and brother, Robert Paul. Grandchildren, Michelle and Josh (fianc Tiffany) Paul; Amy (Cory) Cook, Amanda (fianc Dustin), Jacob Paul; Jacqueline (Rick) Wash, Jeremiah Pearce Sr.; Diana (fianc Kevin) Pearce, Lauren (Jose) Salazar, and Stacey Burmeister, Stephanie (Mike) Cox and Adam (Amy) Hughes.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Paul; five brothers, Steve, Frank, John, Leslie and Ernie Paul.
Born in Joliet and was a life long resident. Retired as a conductor from the EJ&E Railway. Edward loved the railroad and the Cubs. Lifetime member of Ingalls Park A.C.
Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
