Age 93 of Nashville. Born September 2, 1912 in Caney Springs, TN to Price Maynard Patterson and Willie Woodall Patterson, and died August 21, 2006. Survived by her brother, F. Woodall Patterson of Nashville; niece, Judy Murphy and great-nieces, Sally and Nancy Murphy, all of Atlanta, GA, and by good friend, Kay Goodwin. Preceded in death by parents and her brother, Maynard Clark Patterson. Her parents, having moved to Nashville, she was educated in the public schools and graduated from Hume-Fogg High School. She was first employed by Equitable Insurance Company in Nashville, and transferred to the corporate headquarters in Chicago, IL, where she continued working until her retirement in 1979, returning to Nashville. She was a member of the former Merdian Street United Methodist Church and a current member of Aldersgate UMC. She was also a member of Civitan International and the Soroptomist Society. Following a recent fall, she was a resident of Jackson Park Christian Home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24th, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home, and graveside services will be conducted Thursday, 330 p.m., at Allen Cemetery in Caney Springs, TN by Rev. James Clark.
