Bobby T. Parton, 73, husband of Julia Hendricks Parton, of Griffin Circle, passed away, December 25, 2006 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Haywood County, NC, he was a son of the late Dave Parton and Mabel Groce Parton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Calumet Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Bridget Klebe and husband Zach of Easley, Cheryl Pilgrim of Pickens, Lt. Col. Charles Parton and wife Mary of Fredricksburg, VA, Mike Mullinax and wife Cindi of Liberty, Fonda Finley and husband Tim of Easley, Kathy Duncan and husband Scott of Easley, Ginger Blackburn of Liberty; sisters, Doris Smathers of Tignall, GA, Carolyn Davis of Pickens; brother, Henry Parton of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-granddaughters and a close friend, John Palmer.
Brothers, Jack Parton, Dave Parton Jr., Wayne Parton and sisters, Donnis Street and Mattie Parton predeceased him.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Calumet Baptist Church building fund, 400 S. Peachtree Street, Liberty, SC 29657.
