..Mrs. Cora Craig, who in her early womanhood was a resident of this community, passed away Monday of last week at her home in Borger, Texas. Her death followed a stroke of apoplexy which occurred only a few days before. Her daughter and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Lacy and children, who left Blythedale in their car in response to a telegram telling of Mrs. Craig's critical illness, reached Borger before her death but at that time she had sunk into a coma from which she never rallied. Her body, accompanied by a grandaugher, Geraldine Butler, arrived here on the Thursday evening train. Last rites in charge of the Rev. C. V. Bittiker of Ridgeway, were held Friday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lack.. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery near the grave of her husband, Thomas Craig, who died 24 years ago.
...Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Newt Hillyard, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Williams, Miss Effie Prather, Mr and Mrs. Fred Ramey of Ridgeway, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clapham, Mr and Mrs. Cole Rhea and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Craig of near Cainsville, Mrs. Minnie Lacy, Mrs. Roy Hale, Mrs. Della Poush of Eagleville.
...Mrs. Craig, who was 52 years old, is survived by these children: Mrs. Inez Emmons, Des Moines, IA., Mrs. Alvoda Butler, Borger Terxas, Gordon Craig, Borger, Texas, Mrs. Delores Gardner, Moore, Mont., Mrs. Freda Lacy, Blythedale, Mo., Forrest Craig, Bilings, Mont. The sorrow of these children is shared by many friends in the community.
