Marion Evalena Ollis, 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 1:05 A.M. at Fountains Nursing Care Center.

Mrs. Ollis was born May 5, 1918 in Williamson County the daughter of Gus & Esta (Kelley) Parrish. She married William L. Ollis on August 18, 1940 in Jackson, Missouri which gave them over 67 years of love together. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2008.

Evalena attended First Apostolic Church of Marion. She was a homemaker and made taking care of her family her lifes work.

Survivors include:
Two sons;
Joe Ollis and wife Gwen of Creal Springs
Ronnie Ollis and wife Bonnie of Marion
Two grandchildren;
Tracy Schlenker of Las Vegas, NV
Bruce Bryant of Tulsa, OK
Two great grandchildren;
Heather Soto of Marion
Kaitlyn Brown of Chester
Great great grandchild Jaden Soto of Marion
Several nieces and nephews

Preceded by Parents, Husband William Ollis, Brothers Virgil Parrish and Lester Parrish , Sisters Reola Howell and Lodema Hudgens.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. R.G. Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
