Florence Parre, 92, Osage City, died Tuesday, Jan 4, 2005, at Peterson Nursing Home in Osage City.
She was born March 19, 1912, at Osage City, the daughter of Nicholas James and Bettie T Person Baxter.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross for over 30 years.
She married Donale E Grow on Sept 29, 1932. He died in 1956. She later married James N Parre on April 9, 1959. He died Oct 22, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Paul Grow on May 19, 1985; a sister, Carolyn Lowe on May 27, 2001; and a brother, Paul Baxter in 1923.
Survivors include four children, Dean Grow, Dillon, Mont., Mary Kay Rappard, Fulton, Texas, Paul Parre, Topeka, and David Parre, Osage City; one sister, Hazell Bergstrom, Osage City; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services were Friday, Jan 7, at the Crable VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Interment followed at the Union Cemetery.
