Patricia Ellen Anthony, 64, of RR Athens, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family and special friends, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005.

She was a graduate of Athens High School, Class of 1958. She married Fred Anthony of Sayre on July 29, 1960 and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed flea markets, travel and her family. She especially enjoyed her five children and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed helping others in need, seeking neither recognition nor compensation for her good deeds. "Trisha," as she was known, loved to bake and support her children.

She was preceded in death in 1991 by her father, John M. Parks Sr.; her brother, Robert; and sister, Beverly.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Virginia Parks, of Athens; a brother, John (Diana) Parks, of Pitman, N.J.; her husband, Frederick Anthony, of RR Athens; and five children, Stephen (Tina) of North Carolina, Christopher (Anneliese) of Waverly, Kathy Jo Anthony (David) of Milan, Aaron J. Anthony (Anitra) of Athens and Scott Anthony (Sara) of Milan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie, Brent, Brandon, Sean, Chad, Joshua, Shelby, Sarah, Kyle, Gaven, Kaitlyn; two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Tristen; sister-in-law, Patty Arsenault and her husband, Ray; brother-in-law, Joseph Anthony (Margot) of York, Pa.; sister-in-law, Jean Arsenault of Colorado Springs, Colo. She is also survived by special cousins, Judy (Tom) Leahy and Elaine (Kenneth) Tomb and Phyllis (Louis) Boehm; and several close and supportive friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Guthrie Hospice, RR 1, Box 154, Towanda, PA 18848. At Patricia's request, services will be private, at the convenience of the family. Caring assistance is being provided by the Cooley family of the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, N.Y.
