DEERFIELD - Jacqueline P. Boland, age 64, found peace on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, with family at her side and after a courageous five-year battle with illness. Jackie was born on Oct. 14, 1939, in Pittsville, Wis., the daughter of Archie and Ellen (Akey) Parker.
She graduated from Pittsville High School in 1957, and began a wonderful journey with her husband, Raymond G. Boland, on April 25, 1958. Being the wife of a military career person would keep her moving from one place to another for 30 years while building her family and blessing all of those that she met with her love and kindness.
Nobody was a stranger to her, as people were quick to notice, for Jackie only had the kindest of words and expressions to offer for everyone. In 1988, she returned to Wisconsin and continued to support her husband's service in the United States Army and state government. For her family, hers was a life devoted to nurturing love, respect, and close family ties.
The most special time for her was always with family; she truly cherished the moments she spent with those special angels in her life, her six grandchildren. She followed the three L's in her life, live, laugh and love.
Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond; three loving sons, Daniel (Pamela) Boland, David (Cynthia) Boland, and Michael Boland; six grandchildren, Heather, Parker, Hannah, Graeme, Erin, and Emma; her brother, Archie (Pat) Parker; her sister, Patricia Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. at DEERFIELD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 Main St., Deerfield, with the Rev. Larry Sexe officiating. Committal will be held in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
