Doris lived in Medaryville all of her adult life. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Medaryville Garment Factory. Doris was also a former Clerk-Treasurer for the Town of Medaryville. She was a member of the Medaryville United Methodist Church. She loved to bake for her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her husband George Theodore 'Ted' Hazlett Sr. of Medaryville; one son George T. (Valerie) Hazlett Jr. of Matthews, NC; one daughter, Sharla J. (John) Parker of Orland Park, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Elmer Lee (Bee) Paris of Schererville. She was preceded in death by one sister, Caroline Jean Paris.
Visitation was held December 4th and 5th at the Medaryville United Methodist Church. A funeral service was held December 5th at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Kevin DeKoninck officiating. Burial was in the White Post Cemetery, Medaryville.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Medaryville United Methodist Church. The Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home in Francesville was in charge of arrangements.
